CoolPeel Laser

What is CoolPeel Laser?

The CoolPeel treatment is a brand new offering with the DEKA Smartxide dot laser, a fractionated CO2 laser. Laser skin resurfacing with a CO2 laser has long been the gold standard for treating:

  • fine lines & wrinkles
  • age spots
  • areas of pigmentation
  • scars & blemishes, including acne scars

Lasers can help to improve skin texture, but also have the ability to tone, tighten loose skin. They work by damaging and removing the top layer of the skin. This, in turn, stimulates the body to producecollagen and elastin.

Traditional CO2 lasers usually require some downtime for the skin to heal. The CoolPeel treatment, however, usually only requires 1-2 days.

How does the CoolPeel Laser work?

Like other ablative lasers, the CoolPeel renews skin by quickly heating water molecules in the skin’s deeper layers, which triggers the body’s natural healing response and stimulates collagen production.

The CoolPeel laser delivers energy in a super-short pulse that creates controlled injury to the dermis with less lingering heat in the surrounding skin, which is where it gets its name. This usually means less flaking, peeling, and swelling afterward. This combination tightens the skin, stimulates collagen and elastin production.

This procedure can be performed on the full face, including eyelids, neck and decolletage.

Results are usually visible 3 to 6 months afterwards the procedure. The collagen takes some time to activate, and it will continue to plump the skin up to 6 months after treatment.
